Cutch Company was born in June 2020, during a time when the world felt more disconnected than ever.
Months without the simple closeness of friends and family had changed the way we experienced connection. We missed the comfort of being close to the people we loved — those reassuring hugs that somehow make everything feel a little more alright.
That feeling became the inspiration behind Cutch.
The name Cutch comes from the Welsh word cwtch — a special kind of hug or embrace that represents warmth, comfort, safety and affection. As a part-Welsh team, the word felt deeply personal to us and perfectly captured what we wanted Cutch to bring into people’s homes.
A little warmth. A little comfort. Something that makes you feel at home.
Today, Cutch is a two-woman team, and we truly do it all ourselves. From creating and hand-pouring our products to packaging orders, developing fragrances, marketing the brand and taking Cutch to events, every part of the journey is handled by us.
We’ve built Cutch with our own hands, one product and one customer at a time. And while the business has grown, that personal touch remains at the heart of everything we do.
Because Cutch has always been about more than fragrance.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is where our ideas, experience and love of fragrance come together.
We built our business and brand from the ground up, drawing on our own experiences and the skills we’ve gathered along the way. With backgrounds spanning operations, marketing, education and finance, we’ve brought a thoughtful and practical approach to every part of what we do.
But at the heart of it all is our love of creating.
Our workshop is a space where we carefully curate fragrances, experiment with custom blends and handcraft each of our home fragrance products from scratch. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches, allowing us to give each one the time and attention it deserves.
From the fragrance blend to the final finish, we’re particular about the details. We want every product to feel beautiful, considered and made to a standard we’re proud to put our name to.
For us, it’s not just about making candles. It’s about creating something you’ll genuinely love to have in your home.
Essential Oils and Unique Fragrances
Our love of fragrance began during lockdown, when we started experimenting with essential oils and fine fragrances to create scents that do more than simply make a room smell beautiful.
We wanted to create fragrances that evoke something — a memory, a place, a feeling, or simply that sense of being completely at home.
Today, we continue to explore and develop unique scent combinations alongside timeless favourites. We carefully layer different fragrance notes to create beautifully balanced scents that feel distinctive, inviting and familiar.
For us, fragrance is all about how it makes you feel. Whether it’s a fresh scent that helps you start the day, a comforting blend for a quiet evening, or something warm and familiar that brings back a favourite memory, each fragrance is designed to create an atmosphere you’ll want to linger in.
Our soy wax candles and melts are made with carefully selected essential oils and fine fragrance ingredients, filling your home with beautiful, considered scents designed to bring a little more calm, comfort and character to everyday moments.
Sustainable Soy Wax
Naturally made, thoughtfully finished
Our candles and wax melts are lovingly hand-poured using 100% natural, plant-based soy wax — a renewable alternative to paraffin and mineral waxes.
We choose soy wax for its beautiful, clean burn and because it reflects our commitment to making products that are kinder to our homes and the planet.
Every candle is finished by hand with a natural cotton wick and carefully packaged in FSC-certified boxes and recyclable materials, keeping our packaging as considered as the products inside.
Our wax melts are also hand-poured and some individually finished with dried botanicals, adding a natural, beautiful touch to every piece.
